What are dental veneers?
Dental veneers are attractive tooth covers, usually made from porcelain or composite material. The speed in which veneers are fitted depends on the material the veneers are made from. If you opt for composite veneers, they can be moulded and fitted whilst you are visiting us. If you opt for porcelain veneers, they will need to be designed and created at our laboratory before being fitted at a future appointment.
Porcelain veneers are a hard-wearing and aesthetically pleasing option for patients looking to improve the appearance of their teeth. They are also a great way to restore teeth which may be chipped, damaged or discoloured.
How are veneers fitted?
When you come in for a consultation, we will discuss your requirements and desired results and answer any questions you may have. The dentist may take various teeth and gum measurements and x-rays, and document how your teeth look before the treatment. The photos will allow you to see your ‘before and after’ difference between your old smile and your new one.
Taking precise measurements and noting details enables us to ensure your porcelain veneers are designed to your exact specifications. Once your veneers have been created at our laboratory and returned to our dental studio, we will prepare your teeth for accurate and secure fitting.
Preparation of the teeth will involve removal of the enamel and cleaning before the veneers can be fitted and bonded. Finally, you’ll have a beautiful and confident smile.
Composite/ Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers last between 5-10 years if they are cared for properly, which means they are long-lasting in comparison to composite veneers. With continued advice, support and maintenance from our dedicated cosmetic dental team, we can help your veneers remain durable and look good for as long as possible.

I really recommend Kent Smile Studio.I have been going to for around 3 years now and recently had an implant at the front. Very impressed with Smile Walderslade. I am a pretty nervous patient but all the team are very friendly and welcoming. I cannot recommend Milda Stakenaite and her lovely nurse enough, whatever treatment I have had they have been very professional and caring.

Brilliant work. I had the all on 4 implants. I was amazed on how quick all the work was able to be done, there was no pain and very little swelling the next day after the implants had been fitted. I would 100% recommend to anyone 👍👍 very relaxed atmosphere
